I really enjoyed this book. It's a great blend of historical fiction and a compelling story. The author does a fantastic job of transporting the reader to the time period and making you feel like you're right there with the characters. I especially liked the way the story explored the relationship between the painter and his model.

The book was okay, but I didn't find it particularly engaging. The story is interesting, but the writing style felt a bit dry at times. I also felt that some of the characters were not fully developed. However, I did appreciate the historical context and the insight into the life of the painter.
