This book is a real gem! I loved the way Cooper describes the sea and the adventures of the characters. The story is so captivating that I couldn't put the book down.

The book is okay, but I found the pacing a bit slow at times. Some parts felt dragged out, and I had a hard time staying engaged. However, the historical details and the descriptions of life at sea were interesting.

I really enjoyed the characters in this book. They're complex and interesting, and I liked how they developed throughout the story. The plot is exciting, and there are plenty of twists and turns to keep you interested. The writing style is a bit old-fashioned, but I think that adds to the charm of the book.
